Baby Abel is on his way. Â Jenny wanted a few traditional type maternity shots…

And we also took advantage of Jenny’s cute, cute baby belly and did some “bare it all” Â maternity shots as well.
Who says you can’t be pregnant and sexy?
Thanks Jenny (and Jared) for being so brave. You won’t regret having these photos to remember such a magical season of life.

I have had so much fun this year with my maternity sessions.
It really isn’t hurting that Tara is a gorgeous mama-to-be!
So this ribbon with Jaxson’s name on it is always going to have an added story behind it.
You see, Josh and I had been planning for weeks to do their session just before Tara’s surprise shower. Well, the weather called for snow on “Surprise Shower Day”, so I moved the session to the day before and conjured up a lie that tied in with this ribbon during the session.
The ribbon had a gazillion tiny glitter sparkles on it. In the end, it was those sparkles that allowed me to help out Josh with a story to ‘reschedule’ our session for the day of the surprise shower. I happened to put the ribbon into my camera bag to carry for the couple as I shot.  I noticed that I was starting to get covered with sparkles as our time went on. That evening, I called and told Tara that the sparkles got INTO my camera and ruined our photos. She was devastated but clueless about her upcoming event. That little lie distracted her from worrying about anything but getting her photos retaken. She was able to arrive to her shower totally surprised and not in her sweatpants (a fear for both her and Josh since she knew that the surprise was going to happen, she just didn’t know WHEN).
I’m glad to have helped out with an awesome surprise!
I am in love with the love in this field.
This was my favorite location by far. It just really, really felt like Tara and Josh.

Thank you cute couple. Your baby boy is sure to be adorable!
Even though winter technically starts late December and Christmas is not supposed to be celebrated a day before Black Friday, Fall is long gone. Tomorrow is December 1st and I just can’t think it’s fall anymore.
So while I share some photos of Roman, Milo, and their cousins, I also want to say goodbye to fall.
Goodbye crisp leaves, goodbye beautiful color, goodbye pumpkin farms, straw bales, apple cider, bonfires, nights that don’t end at 5pm.
I’m fighting against winter’s arrival like these kids fought against getting their pictures taken. 🙂
Yes, winter brings many wonderful things: Â Christmas, beautiful snow, Christmas cookies, tradition, family get togethers, cuddling around the fireplace…
But I don’t want to hear that.
While I might be the only one crying about it…
You have to admit you’ll miss some great things about this harvest season:
But if not, excuse me while I have a moment.
A moment of days that last a little longer. Of pumpkin spice lattes. Being able to walk outside to get the mail without bundling up. Give me one more moment of leaf tosses, green grasses, hues of orange, red, purple.
I never knew how much I cared for you, dear Autumn. But now that you’re fading away I’m beginning to see how brief your visit has been.
What great pictures of my little peanuts! I especially love the one where they’re all huddled together (even though my little Milo is sad-he’s still there), and the way they’re touching one another; and the one with them all sitting in the leaves with their natural sweet smiles. And even the one with them walking away, and I can’t even see their beautiful faces, but they’re holding on to one another. These made me smile! Thank you once again.
Seems to be a trend that my last wedding of the year is always my favorite. Maybe I’m coming off the adrenaline of a busy season, maybe it’s the beautiful fall weather, maybe that I’ve just happen to have fantastic couples that leave me on a high for my last wedding gig. Or maybe it’s the fact that I truly love Mandy, she’s my friend, and I was so honored to have witnessed her day.
Either way, I can’t help but love every minute of this wedding.
Mandy and Greg had a first look moment. It’s such a great experience to have that captured as part of your day. The love of the day is pushed right to the top. No nerves of anticipation that distract you from enjoying the day. Just a full, pleasant day with your sweetie.

During their first moments together, Mandy spun around and showed off her dress for Greg. So cute!
That’s a moment you don’t get to have after you’ve just walked down the aisle.
Mandy’s daughter, Katelyn, is definitely a “Mini – Mandy”. Â You could tell she loved being in the wedding. And I really enjoyed seeing her with her mom and Greg on this day.
I have to interrupt to talk about the ring bearer:
This family… MELT. MY. HEART.
I admire this family. This cutie-patootie was adopted from Africa 9 months ago. I seriously cried when I met him. His adorable face and the joy that he has made me feel the tug for children waiting to be adopted. What a blessing. What a joy.
Ok, back to the wedding party!
Guys clowning around.
Girls workin’ it.
The whole party is pretty darn smashing, don’t you think????
And then to the church just waiting for the ceremony. Time to rest, socialize, and catching up on last minute phone calls, I guess.  😉
These girls were awesome. I always love a blessing before the ceremony.
Especially when it ends with a “High Bouquet”!
(Kinda like a high five but more girly. Â …And more appropriate in wedding attire.)
Sweet poems from the sisters…
A sentimental, yet funny toast by dad….
…And an embarrassing and slightly incriminating toast from the best man!
Maybe a little too much for little ears! 🙂
Overall this couple is loved and it showed by their friends and family’s words of encouragement.
The night continued on with dancing, Gus’ Pretzels, and
… a toy soldier dressed up like a bride?!?!?
(It was an inside joke, but I think after that evening, nobody was left out!)
Thank you Greg and Mandy! I loved your day. You brought tears to my eyes in such a joyful way. Congratulations!
A beautiful couple and VERY talented photographer. Thank you Donna for helping to make great memories!
