Donna Harris Photography bio picture

Every year, I give an award to the family with the most “fall family cuteness”.

Ok, that’s not totally true.

But if I did give an award, this family would win hands down.

I am so happy to have met Nathan, Kasey, and Titus.

There are some people that you meet in your life that you walk away thinking, “Wow, are they really that nice? Really THAT sweet? Really that genuine?”

Yes. They are.

Photobucket

Aaaand together they make one cute kiddo.

This boy. So darn cute. Even when he’s not smiling you just wanna squeeze him.

And when he IS smiling, he’s so cute, you may want to go all Looney Tunes Abominable Snowman on him.

But don’t. 🙂

I love your Looney Toons Abominable Snowman reference! “hug him and kiss him and squeeze him” lol. Thank you so much for doing this for us on such short notice. We are so looking forward to seeing the rest. We’ve got the picture frames all picked out! 🙂ReplyCancel

My life would be nothing without these guys. Nothing.

Photobucket

And if I don’t get my photo fix of them every once in a while I go a little mad. So here’s a few things that have been happening around the Harris House these days.

Photobucket

These boys like to eat cold FROZEN waffles. It’s the strangest thing ever. Of course it started when each were teething but it just continued on from there. I never understood it when an 18-month-old Roman asked for “Waffle?! Cold!”and I still don’t get it 2 years later.

Photobucket

I’m really enjoying seeing these two become buddies. Sure, it’s still 90% screaming and fighting because Roman grabbed a toy from Milo but that 10% warms my heart and gives me hope for a future where they are good pals.

It’s not even Halloween yet and we’ve found a couple of reasons to go out and dress up in their costumes. You figure you pay enough for those things, you might as well show ’em off right?

(I should tell you, Roman’s “knight costume” came to a total of $4 at the dollar store.  -YES!-  So when I wanted to find the perfect dragon costume for Milo, I felt justified in paying a good amount for it!)
Photobucket

This year, Westport Plaza had a halloween parade. Which means you get to Trick or Treat from the local vendors. It was fun….
Photobucket

…but somtimes I think a little overwhelming and slightly creepy for my little guys.

Just taking it all in….

Photobucket

And Roman and I did the pumpkin carving thing.
Photobucket
I know, the barfing pumpkin has been done.

But not with THIS 3-year-old.

Little boys + yucky and gross = fun

Dad, on the other hand, just shook his head when he saw what I had done.

Oh well, you can’t please everyone.

Photobucket

And of course, just like everyone else, I want fall photos of my family.

First I have to say… that I looove the names you gave your boys. And second… what adorable little boys you have!!! And I am so glad I am not the only mom of boys who enjoys the gross things boys bring to the table… and my husband too has shaken his head a time or two because of something we have done. He He He

    Great fall pictures too!! ♥ReplyCancel

Donna, I always love reading your “personal” posts. It makes me realize I need to make getting my girls in front of the camera a higher priority. Darling “Fall” pictures of your beautiful boys.ReplyCancel

Does this family look nice? Proper? Well, they are.

…But we got a little silly too.  😉

Mom and dad had to think I was a nut. I was truly interested in the difference between straw and hay as Dad tried to explain the difference.

The kids just shook their heads.

Sarah was the one who contacted me about getting family photos. I was super excited to meet Harley, their pup.

Isn’t she beautiful?

Ta-Da!

You may remember when I posted a sneak peek photo of Lucia not too long ago.
Photobucket

Well, I’m happy to present her in all her newborn glory.
Photobucket

So here’s the sad part of this post. Newborns get big fast. As I type this, she’s not even a month old yet but the difference in a baby in a matter of weeks is astounding!

How precious this time is right. here.
Photobucket
I know how Mandy feels right here.

You never. ever. want them to get bigger.  …yet you are so excited for their little lives to begin.

You never. ever. want to forget how tiny they are. How squishy and squeaky they are. How soft they are.

…But somehow, no matter how hard you try to hold on to the feel and the look and the smell of your precious little one, you can’t regain that moment entirely.

So just know that those moments are short. Understand it, respect it, but don’t fear it. Instead, jump full force into that moment and relish it for all it’s worth.

Photobucket
Mandy, thank you for letting me capture that moment for you. I hope your treasure these photos like you treasured those moments.

Love you!
