Sweet Simplicity : Catherine and Joey

Congratulations to one of the cutest couples!

Catherine and I go pretty far back. It was pretty comical to hear her explain it as she introduced me to her family, “Donna was my co-worker at the salon… oh, and before that she was my instructor at cosmetology school….and now she’s my wedding photographer!”

The whole day spoke of sweet simplicity. From the intimate number of guests, the thoughtful attention to detail on what’s important, and the wedding party of close friends and family.

I remember when Joey and Catherine started dating. She was head over heels for this boy. He has always treated her like a princess.

Catherine has a love for people, especially for her family, especially for the young and old. She is a proud, proud aunt and a proud grand-daughter.

These two little men did great in their job as ringbearers.

Catherine hand-made these tags and the etching on all the glasses that were given as wedding favors. Super cute!

So, sweet couple, I wish you many years of love, happiness, and lots of babies. I hope to witness it all. 🙂

If you follow my photography blog, you know life has been busy for me. While I’ve been away from the salon up until 2 weeks ago, I was pretty much ‘back to work’ since the end of September. In the month of October, I photographed 4 weddings, 8 families, and a 1st birthday party….it was pretty exhausting after just having a baby 5 weeks prior! But I had a blast and even though I am glad the fall photo craziness is over, I feel super accomplished when I look back at all the happy families and the great memories I captured.

My family has been through a lot lately with the passing of my sweet nephew. Thanks to all who’ve reached out and expressed your condolences. It is very much appreciated.

Milo and Roman are growing fast, fast, fast! Here are a few photos to catch you up.

At 11 weeks old he no longer needs a swaddle to keep him asleep. Growing so fast make me melancholy but seeing that peaceful surrender to sleep is just “oh so cute”.

my little man. Now over 2 1/2, he really is less of a baby and more ‘big boy’. So smart, sweet, and helpful with his little brother.

My husband. My helper. I can’t do anything without him.
The rubber bands around the wrist are from the diapers we got from our diaper cake (a gift from the gals at salon).

Christopher says it’s a good way to keep track of diaper changes. Don’t worry. He does his fair share. 😉

Just look at these dolls. Roman sings this made up song to Milo: “Cutie, cutie, cutie…cutie. I ever seen.”

So that’s my what’s going on at home. My first few weeks back at the salon have gone over perfectly. It’s been so fantastic to see all my wonderful clients. I say it all the time but it’s so true, you guys are awesome. I love my job and it’s because of my great clients. You are very much a blessing in my life. If I have yet to see you, I miss you and look forward to seeing you soon! And if we don’t have your next appointment set up, contact me. I still have holiday hair appointments available for select days.

Enjoy these next couple of weeks… Don’t rush too soon into Christmas (even though the department stores want you to), we’ve still got Thanksgiving to enjoy. 😉

Congratulations Jason and Marcie!

Marcie was stunning in all touches of red!

Jason and Marcie did a ‘First Look’. It was so sweet. She approached while his back was turned and then they held hands back to back in anticipation. Some of my favorite shots from the day are of this moment. Also, check out their height difference! It’s just one of the cute things about this couple.

I mentioned “touches of red” earlier and that wedding color choice was no coincidence. Jason is a HUGE cards fan.

Such a fun and beautiful reception. There was a candy bar all decked out in (of course) red and white treats!

Swedish Fish are my absolute favorite! How did you know, Marcie? 😉

It’s a pretty big deal to catch the bouquet among this group of friends….

One of my second shooters, Cindy, captured this shot. It was quite hysterical to see what lengths these girls would go for a bunch of flowers. 🙂

Lewis and Elizabeth : Engaged!

I cannot WAIT to photograph their wedding in the Spring! An engagement session is always great for me as well as the couple. We get to know each other and start to get excited about the wedding together.

And I am SUPER excited to see these guys tie the knot…the pictures can tell you why. I’m not going to narrarate each photo. You can see their love through each of these images without my big-mouth blabbing along the way. 😉

Lewis not only gave Elizabeth a ring to seal the deal, he also knows how to accessorize. These earrings were a special engagement gift as well.
