Donna Harris Photography bio picture

It was exactly a year ago that I took this picture.

Little Lola had arrived 8 and 1/2 weeks early into this world. One of the teeny-tiny-ist babies I’ve ever seen. I mean, look at the size of mommy’s hand next to her sweet head …and that pacifier looks like a joke. It’s fun to giggle about it now, but back then, it was pretty scary to have her arrive so early.

But, now, fast forward 365 days….

Happy 1st Birthday, Lola!

Lola’s birthday was also a great chance to capture the whole family.

Since I’ve known Joe and Kendra, it was always my hope that our sons would become best buds. I never knew that they would be such special friends to me. I truly love this family.

Photobucket

So far, in our short friendship, I’ve seen much love from this family.
They love each other deeply by being great parents and spouses. They love their family and friends with willingness and respect. They care for others.

Photobucket

Joe is one of those dads that knows how to love his kids. He not only provides for his family by being a hard worker but also invests in their lives. A dad that REALLY cares and takes an active role in parenting.

Photobucket

Kendra is my playdate friend. We take our kids out to the park and trade parenting stories. As a mom of two young children, my friendship with Kendra has been something that keeps me sane. But she’s more than just that. Because she’s a genuine, loving person, our conversations can always go deeper than just nap schedules and potty training. I’ve learned alot from Kendra. She’s a great mom, wife, and friend.

Thank you, Joe, Kendra, Maddox and Lola. Words truly cannot express how honored I’ve been to be a part of your lives these past few years.

I had the honor of photographing this family last spring and here we are again!

Photobucket

Of course, we can’t forget “Gammie” and “P”! These grandparents are the ones who’ve asked me to capture the smiles for the day!

Photobucket

“Gammie” Katie loves getting photos of her kids and grandkids. I feel blessed to
be the one to take them. Besides, they pretty much make it a breeze…look how cute they are!

It’s hard to believe that this family of four will be having another little one in just a few short weeks! Yes, that’s right, momma’s expecting!

Thank you, beautiful family! Can’t wait to see you again! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Family! Sarah, Chris, and Adelyn did amazing at their photo session.

“Baby, Baby, Baby….ohhhh.” It’s the only Justin Bieber song I know (really, I promise). However, I’m sure he wasn’t referring to chubby little arms, toothless grins, and drool but it’s totally what I think of when hearing the song.

And when I look at Adelyn, all I can think is “Baby, Baby, Baby….ooooh”. She’s your classic sweetie, cutie, lovable baby. But I’ll stop yapping and let you just enjoy the photo. ๐Ÿ™‚

Photobucket

Parents will not appreciate this photo as it’s being taken. But years from now when you’re wading through all your “smiley-faced” “posey-pose photos” and come across this one, it makes you smile. It’s the real deal. You can’t contrive those moments.

Photobucket

….but you don’t have to have your baby cry to have a moment with her, either….

Thanks Sarah and Chris and sweet, baby baby. We had a great time! It was an honor to capture some memories with you.

This little chica is just the cutest. She’s just starting to walk and loves exploring.

Photobucket

Cambria and her mommy are just so pretty! I can help but smiling everytime I see this photo.

Photobucket

Cambria’s daddy, Daniel and I went to the same highschool. I figured he knew that when we were meeting up for our photo session but I was wrong. In fact, he was pretty taken back once he figured it out! Helen found me as her photographer through some other mutual friends totally unrelated to high school. Small world. ๐Ÿ™‚

Daniel is joining the military and leaving at the end of this year. I was glad to capture a few sweet moments before he heads out.
