I practically grew up at this donut shop! Old Town Donuts is located in Florissant, MO.

It was time to pass on the tradition to my little man, Roman. So we had a breakfast date at the place where MY mom used to take me all the time as a kid.

The place hasn’t changed much and that’s a good thing! They still have my childhood favorite… Chocolate Long Johns!

The workers there were so nice they gave Roman a few donut holes right away. Here’s his first taste!

A photo that the owner, Keith, took of us. I think he liked that I wore my OTD t-shirt. ๐Ÿ™‚

Can I have some more?

And finally some milk to wash it all down!

I loved giving Roman an experience that I loved as a kid and grown to treasure as an adult! Yay, for Old Town Donuts! I’m so hungry writing this post, I just might have to make a trip out there today. ๐Ÿ™‚

This had to be one of the easiest engagement sessions yet!
She’s got an infectious smile and he’s got the best sense of humor.

Brandy and Elliot truly are perfect for each other and it showed in the way they loved, laughed, and talked together.

Senior Photos are so much fun! Since I photograph on Main Street quite a bit and Hannah practically grew up ON Main Street, we traveled off the beaten path and found a few new places to photograph.

I especially love the shot of her and the tree with the exposed roots. It is very unique. And the black and white photo is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these!ReplyCancel

It was a combo-session with Garry and Tequila, part family session, part engagement session. They’re getting married in a few weeks and I am so excited about their big day! (Tequila’s got some big plans about her grand entrance into the ceremony and I can’t wait to share the details through pictures!)

I feel truly blessed.

Recently, I’ve put together a letter to my dear clients updating them on salon plans and other things regarding baby #2, and it has caused me to reflect upon how lucky I am to have a fantastic, loyal client base.
Sometimes I get so frustrated because there aren’t enough hours in the day, enough days in the week or enough spaces to offer last minute appointments. I HATE disappointing people. I hate not being THE person to make your hair look great or have you feel fantastic from a new color experience. However, I tend to forget that the reason it’s hard to make an appointment with me is NOT because I don’t have the time, it’s not because I am choosing something else over my salon time, it’s not because I don’t care… it’s all because I DO care and I already have a list of clients who demand my time (and I love that!).
As much as I do love being needed, sometimes it takes an opportunity like this to cause me to step back and realize that I have a great group of people in my life that I get to see on a regular basis and cut, color or style their hair. And that NOT being able to be “everything to everyone” doesn’t mean that I’ve failed… it just means that I’m successful to so many others. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you, thank you, thank you for that success!

You are great at what you do, and I appreciate all the times you've come in early or stayed late to fit me in. Take a little "me time" once in a while and not stress about "us". You deserve it! (By the way can you squeeze me in next week? – just kidding!!) Can't wait for that new baby boy! Love you bunches, mom h.ReplyCancel
