This is Emery. It’s her 3rd Birthday!
I love photographing a family event or birthday party because people seem so happy to have you there to capture the moments! I felt like one of the family that day! Also, Emery’s mom, Kim, is a photographer too…. so I’m sure all the guests are used to having their pictures taken often. 🙂
This is her best friend Cami! They are only 3 weeks apart in age.

Well, the day finally arrived! Titus is born!

Melissa and Jim were amazing. She’s the one that inspired me to have a natural childbirth and she makes it look like number 2 was easier than number 1. I’ve never seen a more beautiful person gracefully give birth. You can tell from the photos that Jim was a huge help in bringing Titus to the world, too!
Congratulations Jim and Melissa. Welcome, sweet newphew! I love you!

It’s time to take pictures of the Allen family. Cassie and Matt have been wanting pictures of Rachael and Griffin …AND Griffin’s about to turn 1 so the timing is perfect!
So as I’m standing in the Allen’s house, waiting to leave for our photo session, Rachael walks in with Griffin in her arms and he looks over at me with the hugest grin and lunges his body toward me for a hug. With those big blue eyes and that sweet, sweet, smile who could resist a hug from him?
I’ve known Cassie, Griffin’s mommy, for awhile now. Actually, she comes into the salon to get her haircut. I felt very honored to share time with her family and capture memories for them.
Josh and Katie are my best friends. Clare and Colleen are the most intelligent, witty little girls I’ve ever known!
We had a blast at this photo session. We drove around for a while trying to find a great spot to shoot. Since I didn’t have the vehicle to take everyone, I squeezed in the backseat of Josh’s car in between the two girls sitting in their car seats. Thank goodness we don’t have a picture of that!
