When I arrived to Greyson’s party, he was fresh from his nap, just enjoying some lunch, full of smiles and definitely ready for CAKE!

Greyson was born on July 3rd, so his birthday theme is patriotic and festive! I think the only thing missing was actual fireworks. 🙂

This was Greyson’s ‘imma dig into my cake’ attire. But first a group photo of all those who came to celebrate….and there were ALOT of people ready to see this boy eat his cake.

What a lucky little guy to have so many people love him so dearly.

“Can I have my cake now?!”

And, hey, it’s July and like 1,000 degrees… OF COURSE, you gotta get in the pool!

Happy Birthday Greyson! Your party was a hit!

Stacey and Randy are quite a pair. He’s serious, studious, and gentle. She’s fun, cute, and quirky. They both have their hands in the arts. Randy is a musician and it took me like 5 seconds to tell that Stacey has a background with theater and drama.

I’m SURE that’s why they’ve connected. They just love and complement each other! And I love that about them and cannot wait for their wedding.

Once married, they’ll be ‘The Dukes’… so why not “The Dukes of Hazzard”?  🙂

Jessie and Dave had the perfect day: A wonderful ceremony and fun reception coupled with gorgeous weather and loving friends and family in attendance…what more could you ask for on your wedding day?

On this day, and for the ceremony only, I was the covert wedding photographer. For whatever reason, I was told that the professional photographer was not allowed past the seated guests for photography. This means all photographs were to be taken from the BACK of the church the entire time. No shots of bridal party walking down the aisle, no ring bearer, no flower girl entrance, no shot of the dad walking his daughter down the aisle – yep, you read that right. NO shot of bride and daddy going down the aisle. Are you kidding me?! You can’t recreate that moment!

While I was told to stay in the back, the funny thing is, guests were welcome to photograph to their hearts content as long as they did not use a flash.

As a photographer, I will always abide by the rules of a church.  So, what could I do?

I had to become a guest. Seated in the aisle. Without a flash on my camera.

So I did. And it was worth it.

Jessica has an affection for horses. She worked on a farm with horses and was just giddy when she saw the carriage.

Adore this photo.

Jessie and Dave are so loved. It was evident throughout the day but you could really tell when their friends and family spoke so highly and loving of them during the toasts.

I had the great fortune of capturing both wives while their husbands spoke about the love they have for their children and the joy they have knowing their children are going to live happily ever after.

Fun times on the dance floor…

Thank you Jessie, Dave, and your wonderful families for allowing me to feel so welcome while capturing your big day.

Congratulations!

We’re gonna do things a little different than normal here: newborn session and then birthstory later.

Introducing the beautiful Mia Grace:

I can’t WAIT to share the birthstory photos with you but for now….. Just take in all the sweetness of this newborn moment.

Bella is one of those little kids that has the perfect likeness of both mom and dad all at once. How? How is is possible to look JUST like mom and just like dad and 110% cute in the very same moment?!

It’s one of my favorite photos of all time. Which says a lot because I am in love with these sibling shots as well.

Sweet Family, the more I photograph you, the less I have to say….

Not because I feel less for you but because the words I have to tell you how much I care have been replaced with love that is poured into every image.

I hope you’ll agree.

I can’t wait to show you your birthstory photos! Stay tuned! 🙂
