Phil & Bonni | Married

Santa came early this year and gifted me the PERFECT bride and groom to cap off the 2012 wedding season.

Dear Santa, can I put in a request for my 2013 Brides to be as beautiful, full of life, laughs and personality as Bonni? And while I’m already placing an order can I ask for all my Grooms to trust me, love getting their photo taken, be super fun and humorous like Phil? If you can make this happen, then I am SURE that each and every one of my weddings next year will be just as fun as this one.  Thanks Big Guy!

Bonni and Phil’s winter-themed wedding day began at the Ameristar Casino where they met for the first time as bride and groom. After taking shots with the super-fun wedding party at the casino, we headed to Old Hickory for a few outdoor shots before the ceremony. And, THAT’S where we hit some heavenly light and captured some intense love.

Bonni had a neat grouping of photos attached to the underside of one of her many ruffles on her dress. The photos were filled with those close to her heart. What an absolutely cool idea!

I LOOOOOOOVED Phil’s reaction to seeing Bonni for the first time.

Oh, and that second to last photo, you know, before they’re kissing? He told her she looked like a Coke Bottle and she squealed. Is that not the cutest?

The ceremony was super sweet. Even Phil, a big softie at heart, got teary eyed when he saw his bride walking down the aisle and later during the vows and also when gave a rose to his mom and hugged his dad. And Bonni was the cutest thing ever: Just incredibly psyched to be married. I loved how she just relished every moment. She did what most brides forget to do, she looked at her guests as she walked down the aisle. She enjoyed everyone’s company. She soaked it all in.

Aw, love the one of Bon and her mom….. and Bonni with her dad just had me melting at their closeness.

At the reception, it was so easy to capture the fun. Phil had an extra special song picked for the cake cutting. You’d have to know Phil. It was perfect. I’m not gonna post the song but you can YouTube it: Borgore’s “Decisions”

Look at all the laughs. Bonni’s dad was so cute. He was so nervous during his speech that it just transferred to a loss for words which then ended with a chuckle and a, “….I just love you guys!” It was adorable!

And. The dancing.

This was a fun day!

Phil and Bonni, I hope you felt the same way.

What am I saying? I KNOW you did! 🙂

A little Q & A with Bonni and Phil:

One thing you’ll remember the most about your day:

Bonni: Phil saying his vows. I knew he would cry! 🙂 I truly don’t think he’s ever been happier then that moment.

Phil: Hugging my dad and saying the vows

Give future Brides and Grooms your best advice:

Bonni: Don’t sweat the small stuff and spend so much money on little things, send out invitations sooner or send save the dates. Use Donna Harris for amazingly perfect photos and for a flawless day, hire my wedding planner, Tami Heroff!!!!!

Phil: Make sure set your wedding at least a year away to try to reduce stress.

The most laughable part of your wedding day:

Bonni: My Dad and his dancing! Everyone loved him and his moves! I talked it up for months about how the Lucketts are dancers and he did not disappoint! I love him so much!

Phil: Not having anything to serve the cake and having to use my fingers.

What would you have changed if you could jump into a time machine and do it all again?

Bonni: Not have it so close to Christmas so everyone could have come but the people who did mean the world to us and the weather was perfect so honestly I wouldn’t change a thing. It was more then I ever dreamed it would be!

Phil: When we cut the cake. I would have rather have done it after dinner.

Where’d you celebrate your honeymoon?

We cruised to Grand Bahaman Island and stayed at Our Lucaya before cruising back to Florida. It was AMAZING!
