I am excited to share the first installment of this family’s Birthstory, their maternity session.

Sonya and Todd can’t wait to meet their baby girl! I’m sure Bailey will be a GREAT brother to his newest sister. He’s already got practice on little sis, Abby.

And Abby will surely love to play “2nd Mommy” to Savannah Elizabeth. Maybe she’ll even share Daisy Duck with her. 🙂

Looking forward to seeing this family grow in just a few short months!

I was honored to capture this family’s transition from “3” to “4”!  They thought life was fun with just sweet Evy…and now Carter is here to charm their lives. Please enjoy these images as you get a peek into the birth of Carter Owen.

A few highlights worth mentioning as you scroll:

#1 Can Caroline be a more gorgeous momma on the day she gives birth?

#2 And don’t you just melt at the moment they greet their little boy for the first time?

#3 Also, I just got the biggest kick out of Evy and her thorough application of antibacterial foam…even on her face!

#4 Finally, I adore the ‘at home’ shots.  …Don’t you? 🙂

Thank you, Durbin Family, for allowing me to be part of such a special time in your lives!

This wonderful family.

Maybe I’m biased because I know what fun it can be to have two little boys.

Check out their cute caps!  And don’t forget those sparkling eyes and sweet smiles. 🙂

Thank you, McDonough Family for a fun time!

I don’t do Senior photos. Never ever ever. But can you say “no” when your niece wants you to take her pictures? I can’t!

AAAAND I have this rule I gave myself long ago that I wouldn’t do the hair of the person I’m photographing that day. You know, the idea of wearing too many hats and being pulling in too many directions creatively. But, this is my niece for goodness sake! So of course, I offered!

(Sorry, call me a professional softie.  – No wait, don’t call me that.  –  My husband would tell you that’s a big fat lie!)

You could say I chose to break a few rules. That’s allowed every once in a while, right?

Speaking of, this girl breaks rules all the time. From the time she was really little she marched to the beat of her own drum. From making up her own outfits (Like taking her parents clothes and fashioning a belt into her own or a making an old long skirt into a dress), to her insanely crazy youtube videos and pranks she likes to pull on her friends (we’ll just call it hazing) and flitting from class to class and choosing crazy projects for classwork (like doing a Rastafarian rap for her world religions project) but still being loved by her teachers.

It was an honor to photograph this beautiful girl. She’s funny, creative, and going to move on to big things after her senior year of high school.

Love you, Chela!

What a difference a year makes!

{Eckert’s Fun Farm 2011 & 2012}

Every year I dread the end of summer and then wonder what the heck I was thinking after we go apple picking! It’s a great way to kick off Fall.

This year, we went with cousin Kiley and baby Caleb. The kids had so much fun playing on the tractor, the hay pile, the trikes and rides. Plus, jumping on the “pillow bounce” was just the most adorable cousin activity I’ve seen in a while. And little Milo just got the biggest kick out of feeding the goats! And we had not even picked apples yet!

Once we did get to the main activity, it was a mad scramble to find the best apple, wipe it off on our shirts, and feast away. Just TRY to find a photo where Milo is not chomping on an apple once we get to the orchard. And Roman’s jump for the perfect apple is just too cute. I didn’t even want to edit his “Transformer” underwear that were peeking out of the top of his pants (first date blackmail?).
